On Friday there was a Nursing Home that wanted to do an Easter Egg hunt for a school, and they chose us!
Ok, I have to explain the first picture, and you may have had to be there to get a kick out of it the way I did. The lady in red to Skye's right is blind. Skye got her easter bag and colors and was coloring away. The lady in red stuck her hand out reaching for anything. When her wandering fingers found Skye's bag, she took it. She then folded it up. Skye looked up at me with the saddest eyes ever, and started crying. I was laughing so hard because I watched the whole thing. I got her a new bag, and she was happy.
Not two minutes later, the lady in red reaches out her hand again. This time finding Skye's box of colored pencils. She took the WHOLE box and Skye got sad, so I got her some more.
As I sat there and watched Skye color, she would constantly keep a close watch on the lady in red. Skye had all her things out of reach, and when the wandering hand would come across the table, Skye would move everything drastically out of the way. It was so funny.
Suddenly I realized that I didn't know where the stolen bag and box of colored pencils was. It only took me a minute to realize that they were in the lady in red's shirt! I was laughing by this point. To take it to the next level, when the aid asked her to take them out, she lifted up her shirt...not there. They were down her pants!!! When she pulled them out, there was only 1 pencil in the box. I bet it was fun for the person helping her get ready for bed when they found 9 colored pencils!! Skye still tells people the story: "The lady took my bag and colors and put them in her pants!"
